FarmRaiser is a great way to raise money for your school garden. Not only does choosing a healthy, farm-fresh fundraiser help reinforce the school gardening curriculum, but it’s also an effective, high-profit fundraiser where students, parents and teachers can sell delicious, farm and artisan products that your supporters will love.
We presented this webinar in conjunction with Slow Food USA’s school gardening program. This provides an introduction to the FarmRaiser healthy fundraising model, and step by step instructions on how to get started with a FarmRaiser in your school, cause, or team.
This presentation is archived, along with many other other webinars that could help you and your group improve your school gardening project.
Slow Food USA is a branch of the international Slow Food movement linking the pleasures of the table with a commitment to protect the community, culture, knowledge and environment. If you haven’t explored their site before, it’s definitely worth it: not only are there tons of great resources for school gardens in every state and stage of development, they also have a grant program to help you raise the money you need to get your garden growing.
